Family is everything to us! On my side, my parents are still happily married, and we get together every other weekend for dinner. My parents always taught us how important family was and they are still such a great example to us. My parents make an effort to do a lot as a family, we do fun activities on holidays such as: Fire works on the fourth, breakfast in the canyon for the 24th of July, a road rally in March, camping in Yellowstone, going to Bear Lake, Disneyland, extra dinners just to catch up with the adults. They have taken the time to REALLY know us and have a close relationship with each of us.

On Megs side, she has 2 sets of loving parents. Megs parents divorced when she was 8 and her mom remarried soon after to her now, step-dad. Her dad remarried a few years later. Currently, her mom and Step dad live nearby and we see them often. They love our kids and our boys adore them. We also take trips with her parents. Some that we have done are Lake Powell, Bear Lake and St. George. We have them over for dinner often and love to celebrate with them on any occasion we can.
Megan's Dad and wife live in California, where Megan grew up til she was 11. Most of her extended family is still there. Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. Her dad/step mom are very loving and make an effort to visit as much as they can. Our kids have a great relationship with all 3 sets of Grandparents and love to spend time with them.

I adore Ry's family. We all live within 15 minutes of one another, and we get together for dinner every other week, which is a crazy and fun event. There are 13 grandchildren who are all close in age. It’s a family reunion every other week. I am lucky to have married into such a great family with awesome parents and great sisters. We do a lot together and all get along really well, and our kids are so close. It’s honestly refreshing to be part of a family who CHOOSES and loves to spend so much time together. I love them!

My family is a little more spread out. I have a brother in California, a older sister in Colorado and my youngest sister also lives in bountiful close to us. My dad/step-mom live in the bay area of Cali. and my mom/step-dad live in bountiful up the hill from us a few minutes. My older sister comes to visit often from Colorado with her family, and all of us make an effort to see each other as often as we can.

In trial there is beauty. One thing recently that has made us appreciate life so much more is when my little sister at age 26 was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was shocking to say the least. She is so young and it was the furthest thing from all of our minds. She is such an inspiration to us all, and has stayed positive through her whole experience. She underwent a double mastectomy and a year of chemo and is now cancer free. Being a photographer I was lucky to document all the steps and progress through her journey. Many tears have been shed during this time but I love her so much and am so glad she is happy and healthy again. Her boyfriend of 10 years was by her side for all of it. A wedding is in the near future for them. My boys call Staci, Happy Staci, she is always smiling and laughing.
